Remote Control Batteries
The battery of the remote control is a long-life lithium cell. If the range of the remote
control is reduced during use, please proceed as follows:
Open the battery compartment on the side of the remote control.
Replace the cell by a battery of the same type. Ensure correct polarity (See
imprint on the back of the remote control).
Close the battery compartment.
Note: Batteries should not be disposed of in domestic waste. Please return used
batteries to the appropriate collection points or dealer where you bought them.
Never throw batteries into a fire.
General Operation
POWER (5): Switches the unit to „ready for operation“ or to „off“. The
POWER (1) control lamp shows that the device is
switched on.
Switch-off: The machine is turned off when the function selector
switch (5) is in the TAPE/POWER OFF position and all
tape functions are switched off. The POWER (1) control
lamp goes off.
X-BASS ON/OFF (3): to increase or decrease the bass output.The switch can
be in one of two positions, ON or OFF.
Volume: You can set the desired volume using the VOLUME
control (7/8) (D on the remote control).
PHONES (4): Insert the plug of a set of headphones into the headphone
socket – the loudspeakers are „muted“. If your headphone
plug does not fit, please use a suitable adapter.
Loudspeakers: Connect the loudspeakers to the connections (26) on the
rear.
Infrared
remote control: For operating the music centre from a distance of up to
5 metres without a lead. If the range of the remote control
is reduced, the batteries have to be replaced. When
operating the remote control ensure that there is nothing
blocking the view between the remote control unit and the
infra-red receiver on the music centre.
