A2 – SMART PROGRAM
HOW TO INSTALL THE SMART PRO PROGRAM IN YOUR PC.
a) Download the S.M.A.R.T. program from the ROVER website (www.roverinstruments.it) on the
product support page, to your computer desktop. The file containing the SMART program is
zipped and can unzipped using the Unzip® or Winzip® computer programs.
b) The unzip program will ask for a password, which can be obtained by contacting ROVER by
telephone or e-mail [e-mail]. You will be asked to supply your instrument’s
serial number.
c) Open the SETUP file in the Kit Installation Smart folder.
d) Follow the automatic procedure which will guide you through the installation: you can modify
the installation folder; if the name of this folder is not modified, the program creates a folder
called SmSw.
e) The SMART program inserts an icon in the program list of your computer and an icon
connecting to your desktop. By clicking on this icon, the SMART program strarts up
automatically.
HOW TO DOWNLOAD THE EXACT UPGRADE FROM INTERNET
- Download the upgrade from internet (www.roverinstruments.it), by going to the product support
page and selecting the upgrade relative to your instrument. Save it on your computer desktop.
- The file containing the upgrade firmware is zipped and must be unzipped using computer
programs Unzip® or Winzip®.
- The unzip program will ask for a password, which can be obtained by contacting ROVER by
telephone or e-mail [e-mail]. You will be asked to supply your instrument’s
serial number.
- Expand the upgrade file and save it on your PC (for example on your desktop).
