5.0 INSTRUMENT FILE MANAGER
This allows you to transfer a spectrum, saved previously on your meter, to a PC in order to be able to print it or save it on
your PC.
5.2 DETAILED PROCEDURE
5.2.1 HOW TO TRANSFER A SPECTRUM
a) Connect your instrument to a PC as described in paragraph 1.0
b) Click on “Instrument” on the instrument bar and select “
Instrument File manager”.
c) Wait for the file list to be downloaded from your meter to the PC,
d) Your monitor will show the
Instrument File manager folder; open the Spectrum folder by clicking twice (Fig. 4.1)
e) All the spectrum files transferred to the instrument will be listed,
f) Click twice on the spectrum file to show it on the screen (Fig. 5.1)
5.2.2 HOW TO PRINT A PICTURE
a) Open a spectrum file (See 5.1),
b) Click on “File” on the instrument bar and select “Print”,
c) Configure the print settings and press “OK” to confirm.
5.2.3 HOW TO SAVE A SPECTRUM ON TO A PC
a) Open a spectrum file (See 5.1),
b) Click on “File” on the instrument bar and select “save As”,
c) Chose the location where you want to save the file, give it a name and press “Save”.
HOW TO TRANSFER A SPECTRUM
1. Carry out all the necessary connections (see paragraph 1.0)
2. Click on
(See instrument bar description)
3. Wait for the complete file list to download on your instrument
4. Open the Spectrum folder and open the Spectrum file (See Fig. 4.1)
5. Select one of the following options:
- Print a spectrum by pressing
on the instrument bar (see 5.2.2)
- Save a spectrum in your PC by pressing
on the instrument bar (see 5.2.3)
- Delete a spectrum by pressing
in the “Instrument File Manager” window (see 5.2.4)
- Export a spectrum in Excel form by selecting “file – export” in the instrument bar (see 5.2.5)
