4. Slide the replacement battery case along the
runner at the base of the speech processor until
it clicks into position.
Inserting the batteries
Before inserting NiCd batteries into the speech
processor, ensure they are fully charged (see
'Recharging NiCd Batteries').
To insert batteries into the speech processor:
1. Put your thumbnail in the battery cover release
latch. Slide the latch and pull the battery cover
back. Do not attempt to remove the cover
completely.
2. Slide in the new batteries in the orientation
shown in the diagram on the back of the
battery case.
3. Push the battery cover back into place.
