Replacing the Batteries
To replace the batteries:
1. Turn off the speech processor.
2. Put your thumbnail in the battery cover release
latch. Slide the latch and pull the battery cover
back. Do not attempt to remove the cover
completely.
3. Remove the old batteries.
If the batteries are rechargeable, recharge them
in the battery charger. If they are disposable,
dispose of them appropriately.
4. Slide in the new batteries.
• In the two battery case, insert the upper
battery (nearest the display panel) with the
positive (+) terminal pointing to the open
end. Insert the lower battery with the
negative (–) terminal pointing to the open
end.
• In the one battery case, insert the battery
with the positive (+) terminal pointing to the
open end.
5. Push the battery cover back into place with
your thumb.
