CARING FOR THE SYSTEM
If you drop your speech processor into water, take
the following steps to minimise damage:
Remove the battery case immediately.
Return the speech processor and battery case to
Cochlear or your implant center for repair.
Cochlear cannot guarantee that they will be able to
repair any water-damaged part.

Diagnostic Tests
There are some tests that you can perform to
identify faults.
Testing RF transmission
To check that the speech processor is transmitting
sounds to the cochlear implant, turn on the speech
processor and place the transmitting coil over the
back of the speech processor as shown.
The LCD panel displays the RF test coil symbol
( ) if your speech processor is transmitting.
