5-12 Troubleshooting
Cleaning the thermal print head helps to eliminate lines, streaks,
and other artifacts on your prints.
1. Power off the EP-1000, and open the top cover.
2. Use a Codonics print head cleaning wipe to clean the thermal
print head, and wipe along the heater line four times:
• Wipe the full length of the area (always in one direction).
• Use a clean part of the cloth for each wipe.
• Apply firm, even pressure.

CAUTION Never rub or wipe anything across the thermal print head except when
cleaning it.
