range, red LED shouldcome on.
Ifred LED does not come on after 30 minutes,this
indicatesa defective battery pack and shouldbe
replaced.
After normalusage, a minimumof 1 hourof charging
time isrequiredto fully recharge batterypack.
The batterypack will become slightlywarm tothe
touch while charging.This is normal and does not
indicatea problem.
Do not place charger and batterypack inan area of
extreme heator cold. It willwork best at normalroom
temperature.
Note: Charger and battery pack shouldbe placed ina
locationwhere the temperature is more than 50°F but
lessthan 100°F.
When batteriesbecome fullycharged, unplugcharger
from powersupplyand remove the batterypack.
LED FUNCTIONS OF CHARGER
LED WILL BE ON TO INDICATE STATUS OF
CHARGER AND BATTERY PACK:
Red LED on = Fastchargingmode,
Green LED on = Fully chargedand intrickle charge
mode.
Green LED on = When batterypack is insettedinto
charger,indicateshotbattery pack or thatbattery pack
isout of or belownormaltemperature range,
Yellow and Green LEGs on = Deeply dischargedor
defectivebattery pack.
No LED on = Defectivechargeror batterypack,
,_k CAUTION: To prevent damage to battery pack,
removebattery pack from charger immediatelyif no
LED comes on Return batterypack and chargerto
yournearest Sears Service Center for checkingor

charger and no LEDs are on, returnboth batterypack
and chargerto your nearest Sears Servico Center.
Do not insertanother battery pack intocharger.A

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR RECHARGING
HOT BATTERY PACK
When usingyour trim saw continuously,the batteriesin
yourbatterypack will become hot.You shouldlet a hot
batterypackcool downfor approximately30 minutes
beforeattemptingto recharge. When the battery pack
becomesdischargedand is hot, this willcause the green
LED to some on insteadof the red LED. After 30 minutes,
reinsertbatterypack in charger. If green LEO continuesto
remainon, returnbattery packto your nearest Sears
Repair Centerfor checkingor replacing.
Note: Thissituationonly occurswhen continuous useof
your drillcausesthe batteries to become hot.It does not
occurundernormal circumstances.Refer to "CHARGING
BATTERY PACK" for normalrechargingof batteries. If
thecharger does not charge yourbattery pack under
normalcircumstances,return both the battery pack and
charger to yournearest Sears Repair Center for electrical
check.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR RECHARGING
COOL BATTERY PACK
Ifbattery pack is belownormaltemperature range, the
green LED on charger willsome on. Allow batterypack to
reach normaltemperature, then the red LED willcome on.
Note: Refer to "CHARGING BA'I-FERY PACK" for
normal rechargingofbatteries, if the chargerdoes not
charge yourbatterypack under normalcircumstances,
returnboth the battery packand chargerto your nearest
Sears Repair Centerfor electrical check.
