INSTALLING BITS FROM MAGAZINE
See Figure9.
A convenientfeatureofyourdrill-driveristhefivebit
magazine. Three screwdriver and two drill bits are
included. To install bit from magazine:
Lock the switch trigger by placing the direction of
rotation selector in center position. See Figure 5.
Open or close chuck jav_ to a point where the opening
is slightly larger than the bit _7_ vntj intend to use.
Determine the type of operatiC'n, drilling or driving, then
choose the type of bit to use. Note: The markings next
to the magazine indicate where to move the bit
selector to position each bit for installation.
Using bit selector located on the left, side of drill-driver,
rotate bit to top of housing. Bit will b_,visible in window
and in slot in top of housing.
To load bit into chuck, locate lever at back of housing
and rotate in the direction of the arrow as shown in
figure 9. Note: When bit is first loaded into chuck, the
magnetic mechanism inside the housing keeps the bit
from falling out prior to the chuck jaw being tightened.

Tighten the chuck jaws on drill bit. To tighten jaws,
grasp and hold the collar of the chuck with one hand,
while rotating the chuck body clockwise with your
other hand.
Do not use, a wrench to tighten or loosen the chuck
jaws.
REMOVING BITS
See _igure 9.
To remove bit frorfi chuck and return to magazine:
Lock the switch trigger by placing the direction of
rotation selector in center position. See Figure 5.
Clean debris from drill bit.
Loosen the chuck jaws from drill bit.
Loosen the chuck jaws from drill bit. To loosen jaws,
grasp and hold the collar of the chuck with one hand,
while rotating chuck body counterclockwise with your
other hand.
Do not use a wrench to tighten or loosen the chuck
jaws.
Rotate lever on back of housing in the direction of the
arrow as shown in figure 9.
ADJUSTABLE TORQUE CLUTCH
Your drill-driver is equipped with an electronic torque
adjustment for driving different types of screws into
different materials. The proper setting depends on the
type of material and the size of screw you are using.
TO ADJUST TORQUE
See Figure19.
Holding drill-driver in normal operating position, rotate the
torque selector in the direction of the (+) to increase
torque. Rotate torque selector in the direction of the (-) to
decrease torque.
Note: Torque selector dial requires some effort to rotate.
You may want to wear a glove for easier rotation.
