3 PORT MOTORIZED VALVE
Maximum Fuel System Pressure: 65
psi Fuel Hose: 3/8" ID. Connector
(Required): 42-203 Recommended
Fuse: 7.5A
General
Always use fuel filters between the tanks and the valve. Contamination from unfiltered
fuel is a leading cause of valve damage and resultant failure.
These valves are not for marine applications.
Not for use with water. These valves are designed and manufactured to provide
trouble free operation in multiple tank fuel systems. The internal components require
diesel or gas fuel to lubricate the working parts.
Do not allow valves to remain dry for extended periods of time. Dried fuel will cause
the internal seals to stick and can damage them when the valve is eventually actuated.
The use of a fuel stabilizer during long term storage is recommended.

SERVICE TIPS
Motorized Valves Use 18 AWG (or heavier wire for long runs) to insure
adequate voltage at the valve during operation. These valves are designed for
use in vehicles with 12 volt systems.
Motorized Valve Common Solutions for the 42-159 & 42-151
PROBLEM-
The gauge reads the fuel level in the wrong tank. Check the
wiring for the fuel tank gauge sending units to the valve. Exchanging the wires to
terminals “A” and “C” may correct this.
PROBLEM-
The valve won’t switch tanks. Check all wiring to the valve. The
valve changes position when the voltage polarity at the terminals D” and “E” is
reversed. The valve should always have 12 volts between terminals “D” and “E”.
