The TWA-actuator is used to
electrically activate RA-2000, VMT,
KOVM and RAV valves on hot
water heating systems, where slow
opening and closing is desirable to
eliminate water hammer associated
with quick acting valves.
The TWA is a low voltage (24 V),
low power consumption actuator
equipped with a visual indicator to
show the open or closed position of
the valve. The actuator can be used
with RET-B, RET-24, MTC, MTD or
MTW electronic room thermostats.
All Danfoss actuators are thermo-
hydraulic. The slow opening and
closing of these units eliminate water
hammer associated with synchro
type motors. Operation is quiet
through the entire cycle. These units
provide a long trouble-free life, and
if the need arises, are easily removed
from the valve for replacement.
Danfoss valves have proven
themselves in countless operations.
They are available in a variety of
configurations and cover a wide
range of flow requirements. Each
valve body has a compatible actuator
allowing you to configure a valve to
your specific requirements.
Zone valves, injection valves, radiant
manifold control valves and constant
flow valves can all be created using
a combination of Danfoss valves and
actuators.
