Removing the Display Assembly
1. Follow the instructions in Before You Begin.
2. Remove the computer battery (see Removing the Computer Battery).
3. Open the display (see Opening the Display).
4. Remove the palm rest assembly (see Removing the Palm Rest Assembly).
5. RemovetheBluetooth™card(seeRemoving the Bluetooth Card).
6. Remove the WLAN card (see Removing the WLAN Card).
7. Make note of the antenna cable routing and the tape placement.
8. Disconnect the following cables from their corresponding connectors on the system board:
l display cable lift the tab and pull the cable away from the connector
l left I/O board cable lift the tab and pull the cable away from the connector
l battery power cable pull the cable away from the connector
l AC adapter power cable pull the cable away from the connector
l right I/O board cable lift the tab and pull the cable away from the connector
9. Remove the two screws that secure the display assembly to the computer base.

CAUTION: To avoid electrostatic discharge, ground yourself by using a wrist grounding strap or by periodically touching an unpainted metal
surface (such as a connector on your computer).

CAUTION: To help prevent damage to the system board, remove the main battery (see Removing the Computer Battery) before working inside
the computer.
