Input Source VGA DVI-D Use the Input Source menu to select between different video signals that may be connected to your monitor. Select VGA input when you are using the analog (VGA) connector. Push to select the VGA input source. Select DVI-D input when you are using the Digital (DVI) connector. Push to select the DVI input source. Scan for Sources Select Auto Select to scan for available input signals. Color Settings Use the Color Settings menu to adjust the monitor's color settings.
Input Color Format Mode Selection Allows you to set the video input mode to: l RGB: Select this option if your monitor is connected to a computer or DVD player using the VGA and DVI cable or the HDMI to DVI adapter l YPbPr: Select this option if your DVD player supports only YPbPr output. Allows you to set the display mode to: l Graphics: Select this mode if your monitor is connected to your computer. l Video: Select this mode if your monitor is connected to a DVD player.
Hue l Movie: Loads color settings ideal for movies. This is the default preset mode. l Game: Loads color settings ideal for most gaming applications. l Sports: Loads color settings ideal for sports. l Nature: Loads color settings ideal for nature. Allows you to adjust the skin tone of the image. Use or to adjust the hue from '0' to '100'. NOTE: Hue adjustment is available only in the Video mode. Saturation Allows you to adjust the color saturation of the image.
Back Press to go back to the main menu. Horizontal Position Use the Vertical Position Use the Sharpness This feature can make the image look sharper or softer. Use Pixel Clock The Phase and Pixel Clock adjustments allow you to adjust your monitor to your preference. Use Phase If satisfactory results are not obtained using the Phase adjustment, use the Pixel Clock (coarse) adjustment and then use Phase (fine), again. Reset Display Select this option to restore default display settings.
Back Press to go back to the main menu. Language Allows you to set the OSD display to one of eight languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified Chinese or Menu Transparency Allows you to adjust the OSD background from opaque to transparent. Menu Timer Allows you to set the time for which the OSD remains active after you press a key on the monitor. Use the Menu Lock and keys to adjust the slider in 1 second increments, from 5 to 60 seconds.
Factory Reset Resets all OSD settings to the factory preset values. Personalize User can select from "Preset Modes", "Brightness/Contrast", "Auto Adjust", "Input Source" and set as shortcut key 1 and 2. Back Press to go back to the main menu.
This means that the monitor cannot synchronize with the signal that it is receiving from the computer. See Monitor Specifications for the Horizontal and Vertical frequency ranges addressable by this monitor. Recommended mode is 1440x900 (E1910)/1680x1050 (E2210). You will see the following message before the DDC/CI function is disabled.
If you do not see 1440x900 (E1910) or 1680x1050 (E2210) as an option, you may need to update your graphics driver. Depending on your computer, complete one of the following procedures: If you have a Dell desktop or portable computer: ¡ Go to support.dell.com, enter your service tag, and download the latest driver for your graphics card. If you are using a non-Dell computer (portable or desktop): ¡ Go to the support site for your computer and download the latest graphic drivers.

Connect the Soundbar with the power brick. 4. Plug the power cable of the brick to a nearby power outlet. 5.

Back to Contents Page Troubleshooting Dell™ E1910/E2210 Flat Panel Monitor Self-Test Common Problems Product Specific Problems Dell Soundbar Problems WARNING: Before you begin any of the procedures in this section, follow the Safety Instructions. Self-Test Your monitor provides a self-test feature that allows you to check whether your monitor is functioning properly.
To run the built-in diagnostics: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. Ensure that the screen is clean (no dust particles on the surface of the screen). Unplug the video cable from the back of the computer or monitor. The monitor then goes into the self-test mode. Press and hold the 1st and 4th buttons on the front panel, simultaneously for 2 seconds. A gray screen appears. Carefully inspect the screen for abnormalities. Press the 4th button on the front panel again. The color of the screen changes to red.
Horizontal/Vertical Lines Screen has one or more lines l l l l l l Reset the monitor to Factory Settings. Perform Auto Adjust via OSD. Adjust Phase and Pixel Clock controls via OSD. Perform monitor self-test feature check and determine if these lines are also in self-test mode. Check for bent or broken pins in the video cable connector. Run the built-in diagnostics. NOTE: When using '2: DVI-D', the Pixel Clock and Phase adjustments are not available.
Distorted Sound Other audio source is used l Avoid using an audio cable extension or audio jack converter. l Clear any obstructions between the Soundbar and the user. Confirm that the audio line-in plug is completely inserted into the jack of the audio source. Decrease the volume of the audio source. Turn the Power/Volume knob on the Soundbar counter-clockwise to a lower volume setting. Clean and reseat the audio line-in plug.
