Dynamic Counters
By default, counting is enabled for IPFLOW, IPACL, L2ACL, L2FIB.
For the remaining applications, the system automatically turns on counting when you enable the application, and is turned off
when you disable the application.
NOTE:
If you enable more than four counter-dependent applications on a port pipe, there is an impact on line rate
performance.
The following counter-dependent applications are supported:
Egress VLAN
Ingress VLAN
Next Hop 2
Next Hop 1
Egress ACLs
ILM
IP FLOW
IP ACL
IP FIB
L2 ACL
L2 FIB
Clearing Interface Counters
The counters in the show interfaces command are reset by the clear counters command. This command does not
clear the counters any SNMP program captures.
To clear the counters, use the following the command.
Clear the counters used in the show interface commands for all VRRP groups, VLANs, and physical interfaces or
selected ones. Without an interface specified, the command clears all interface counters.
EXEC Privilege mode
clear counters [interface] [vrrp [vrid] | learning-limit]
(OPTIONAL) Enter the following interface keywords and slot/port or number information:
For a loopback interface, enter the keyword loopback then a number from 0 to 16383.
