Getting Started
This chapter describes how you start configuring your Z9500 operating software.
When you power up the chassis, the system performs a power-on self test (POST) and loads the Dell Networking operating
software. Boot messages scroll up the terminal window during this process. No user interaction is required if the boot process
proceeds without interruption.
When the boot process completes, the system status LED remains online (green) and the console monitor displays the EXEC
mode prompt.

The Z9500 has two management ports:
A serial RS-232 /RJ-45 console port for a local management connection
An out-of-band (OOB) Ethernet port to manage the switch using its IP address
