● Save the running-configuration to an FTP server.
EXEC Privilege mode
copy running-config ftp:// username:password@{hostip | hostname}/filepath/ filename
● Save the running-configuration to a TFTP server.
EXEC Privilege mode
copy running-config tftp://{hostip | hostname}/ filepath/filename
● Save the running-configuration to an SCP server.
EXEC Privilege mode
copy running-config scp://{hostip | hostname}/ filepath/filename
NOTE: When copying to a server, a host name can only be used if a DNS server is configured.
Configure the Overload Bit for a Startup Scenario

Viewing Files
You can only view file information and content on local file systems.
To view a list of files or the contents of a file, use the following commands.
● View a list of files on the internal flash.
EXEC Privilege mode
dir flash:
● View the contents of a file in the internal flash.
EXEC Privilege mode
show file flash://filename
● View a list of files on an external flash.
EXEC Privilege mode
dir usbflash:
● View the running-configuration.
EXEC Privilege mode
show running-config
● View the startup-configuration.
EXEC Privilege mode
show startup-config
The output of the dir command also shows the read/write privileges, size (in bytes), and date of modification for each file.
