locate
Use the locate command to locate a switch by LED blinking.
Syntax
locate [switch unit ] [time time ]
Parameter Description
Default Configuration
Default value is 20 seconds.
Command Mode
Privileged EXEC
User Guidelines
The LED will blink green until it times out. The user may select a new time
value while the LED is blinking. The last value selected takes effect
immediately. The locate command does not persist across reboots.
Example
console# locate switch 1 time 555
Parameter Description
switch unit If multiple devices are stacked, you can choose which
switch to identify.
time time LED blinking duration in seconds. Range 1-3600 seconds.
