Examples
The following example defines a default domain name of www.dell.com.
ip name-server
The
ip name-server
Global Configuration mode command sets the available name servers. To
remove a name server, use the
no
form of this command.
Syntax
ip name-server
server-address
[
server-address2 … server-address8
]
no ip name-server
[
server-address1 … server-address8
]
server-address—
IP addresses of the name server. Up to 8 servers can be defined in one
command or by using multiple commands.
Default Configuration
No name server addresses are specified.

The preference of the servers is determined by the order they were entered.
Up to 8 servers can be defined.
Examples
The following example sets the available name server.
ip host
The

Global Configuration mode command defines a static host name-to-address mapping
in the host cache. To
remove the name-to-address mapping, use the
no
form of this command.
