Examples
The following example sets the time for the retransmission of an EAP-request frame to the client to
3600 seconds:
dot1x timeout server-timeout
The dot1x timeout server-timeout interface configuration mode command sets the time that the
device waits for a response from the authentication server before retransmitting packets. To return
to the default setting, use the
no form of this command..
Syntax
dot1x timeout server-timeout seconds
no dot1x timeout server-timeout
• seconds — Time in seconds that the device waits for a response from the authentication
server. (Range: 1 - 65535)
Default Configuration
The period of time is set to 30 seconds.

Examples
The following example sets the time for the retransmission of packets to the authentication server.,
to 3600 seconds:
show dot1x
The show dot1x privileged EXEC command displays 802.1x status for the device or for the
specified interface.
Syntax
show dot1x [ ethernet interface ]

interface — Valid Ethernet port.
