Removing the 2.5-inch drive cage

Prerequisites

1. Follow the safety guidelines listed in the Safety instructions section.

2. Follow the procedure listed in Before working inside your system.

3. Disconnect the power and signal cable from the system board.

4. Keep the Phillips #1 screwdriver ready.

Steps

1. Disconnect the cables from the system board.

2. Remove the screw securing the drive cage to the chassis.

3. Slide the drive cage out of the drive cage slot.
