Installing a Processor
1 Place the new processor into the socket.
NOTE: Align the processor notch with the socket. See Figure 3-13.
2 Close the locking lever. See Figure 3-13.
Removing the 2.5" Hard-Drive Board
1 Remove the hard-drives. See "Removing 2.5" Hard-Drives" on page 56.
2 Disconnect the four SATA cables between the hard-drive board and the
system board. See Figure 3-14.

3 Remove the eight screws from the hard-drive board. See Figure 3-15.
CAUTION: Positioning the processor incorrectly can permanently damage the
system board or the processor. Be careful not to bend the pins in the socket. Do not
use force to seat the processor.
