70 Installing System Components
Removing the Chassis Cover

Turn off the system and attached peripherals, and disconnect the system
from the electrical outlet and peripherals.

Remove the securing screw on the top of the chassis. See Figure 3-20.

Press down the locking button and slide the cover in the direction of the
arrow using the traction pad then lift away. See Figure 3-20.

WARNING: Do not attempt to lift the system by yourself. To avoid injury always
obtain assistance from others.
CAUTION: Make sure all power is disconnected from the system before
proceeding.
CAUTION: The system must be operated with the system cover installed to ensure
proper cooling.
CAUTION: Many repairs may only be done by a certified service technician. You
should only perform troubleshooting and simple repairs as authorized in your
product documentation, or as directed by the online or telephone service and
support team. Damage due to servicing that is not authorized is not covered by
warranty. Read and follow the safety instructions that came with the product.
