2. Reseat the cable at both the ends.
3. Reseat the controller card.
4. Reseat the Drives and ensure that all the drives are present in the system.
5. Turn on the system and enter the CTRL+R utility. or and either import or clear the foreign configuration.
6. Press <"F"> at the prompt to import the foreign configuration.
7. press <"C"> to enter the BIOS configuration utility.
If the virtual disk is redundant and transitioned to degraded state before going Offline, a rebuild operation starts automatically after
the configuration is imported. If the virtual disk has gone directly to the Offline state due to a cable pull or power loss situation, the
virtual disk is imported in its Optimal state without a rebuild occurring. You can also use the BIOS Configuration Utility or Dell
OpenManage storage management application to perform a manual rebuild of multiple physical disks.
8. If the problem is not resolved, refer to Troubleshooting Hard drives section in the Dell EMC PowerEdge Servers Troubleshooting
Guide.
Checking hard drive status in the PERC BIOS
Steps
1. Press Ctrl + R during the POST process to open PERC BIOS Configuration Utility.

2. To check if the hard drive is participating in the RAID array, perform the following steps:
a. Press Ctrl + N to go to the PD Mgmt (Physical Disk Management) screen and check if any hard drives are offline or missing.
