cfgServerDNSIMCName (Read or Write)

Description Displays the DNS domain name for iDRAC or IMC.

Usage You can get and set the iDRAC DNS name using the cfgServerDNSIMCName attribute.
To set the iDRAC DNS name in:
Firmware RACADM:
racadm config -g cfgserverinfo -i <server_slot_number> -o
cfgServerDNSIMCName <Valid_iDRAC_Name>
Remote RACADM:
racadm -r <cmc_ip> -u <cmc_username> -p <cmc_password> config -g
cfgserverinfo -i <server_slot_number> -o cfgServerDNSIMCName
<Valid_iDRAC_Name>
Proxy:
racadm -r <iDRAC_ip> -u <iDRAC_username> -p <iDRAC_password> config -g
cfgserverinfo -i <server_slot_number> -o cfgServerDNSIMCName
<Valid_iDRAC_Name> --proxy
To get the iDRAC DNS name in:

racadm getconfig -g cfgserverinfo -i <server_slot_number> -o

Description Sets or displays the first boot device.
You can also set a vFlash partition that is attached as a bootable device. For more information, see
cfgVFlashPartitionOSVolLabel.
NOTE: If RFS is configured as the next boot device, during restart, the system starts normally and
not from RFS.
