To install a SCSI hard-disk drive and carrier in a drive bay, perform the following steps.

1. If the drive bay is occupied by an empty carrier, remove the carrier from the drive
bay.
2. Carefully slide the replacement drive carrier into the bay (see Figure 6-6). When
the carrier is almost all the way into the bay, the carrier handle will flip up.

3. Close the handle to draw the drive carrier into the bay and lock the drive in place.
When the controller recognizes the hard-disk drive, the drive online indicator
turns on.
4. Replace the lock bar in the lock position.
5. Use the key to lock the keylock.
