directory. The files and folders in the snapshot directories have the same permissions
as the files and folders on the original volume. Snapshot directories are used exactly
the same as conventional read-only system volumes. Unlike conventional volumes,
snapshot images are static, recording the precise content of the originating volume at
the time the snapshot was created.
NOTE: Do not modify the snapshot contents. Modifications to snapshot contents are
not persistent.
Snapshot List
The Snapshot List displays all current active snapshots. Each entry identifies the date
and time the snapshot was created and the volume it preserves. Select an individual
snapshot by clicking the radio button to the left of the description.
1. Fromthemenubar,clickDisks and Volumes, then click ActiveArchive.
2. From the Ta s k s list, click List.
Adding Snapshots to the Schedule
To add a a snapshot to the schedule, perform the following steps:
1. From the Menu bar, click Disks and Volumes, then click ActiveArchive.
2. From the Ta s k s list on the Schedule page, click Add...
3. Use the dropdown menus to select the Starting time, the frequency at which to
repeat the snapshot (Repeat every frequency), the Beginning day,theVolume,
and how long to Keep count.
4. Click OK to save or Cancel to discard the new scheduled snapshot.
Deleting a Snapshot Schedule
To delete a snapshot schedule, perform the following steps:
1. From the Menu bar, click Disks and Volumes, then click ActiveArchive.
2. On the Schedule page, click the radio button next to the scheduled snapshot to
be deleted.
3. From the Ta s k s list on the Schedule page, click Delete.
4. Click OK to delete the item or Cancel to leave the item intact.
Editing the Properties of a Snapshot’s Schedule
To edit a snapshots schedule properties, perform the following steps:
1. From the Menu bar, click Disks and Volumes, then click ActiveArchive.
2. From the Ta s k s list on the Schedule page, click Properties...
