Overview

Setting Up The Environment

To set up the environment:

1. Choose the topology and cable your solution.

2. Complete the NAS system setup worksheet.

See Appendix.

3. Prepare your management station.

NOTE: Your solution requires a properly grounded electrical outlet, a compatible rack, and a rack installation kit.

Selecting The Topology

Selecting the topology involves choosing the MD topology and the switch topology.

MD Topology

Your PowerVault MD32x0i array is equipped with eight iSCSI ports across two controllers. You can configure the

MD32x0i array for your solution to serve both NAS and Block.
