Scale Programming 39
6.2 Updating the Record of an Existing Item
There are two ways to edit or update the data in the record of an Item Code already programmed in memory:
from the Counting Mode screen or from the Programming Mode menu. If you want to update an existing item’s
Unit Weight from a sampling operation, use the process from the Counting Mode in
Section 6.2.1. To update the
Tare Weight associated with an existing Item Code, use the process from the Counting Mode in Section 6.2.2. If
you want to change any other data in the existing record and/or want to enter a new Unit Weight digitally, use the
process from the Programming Mode in
Section 6.2.3.
6.2.1 Update the Unit Weight of an Existing Item From the Counting Mode
1. After completing a sampling operation in either the Normal Counting Mode or the TEP Mode, press the
UNIT WEIGHT key to go to the Item Programming screen.
2. Enter existing three digit Item Code for the item to be updated and press the DC-530 key. The screen
will flash red and then indicate that the Item Code you have entered already exists in memory.
After a moment, the screen will ask you to confirm that you want to update the data for this existing Item
Number.
3. To exit back to the Item Registration screen without updating the Unit Weight of the existing Item Code,
press 9. To change the Unit Weight associated with this Item Code from the weight previously
programmed in memory to the new Unit Weight from your sampling operation, press 1. The scale will
confirm that it is updating before returning you to whichever Counting Mode screen you began at, either
Normal Counting Mode or TEP Mode.
6.2.2 Update the Tare Weight of an Existing Item From the Counting Mode
1. Press the REZERO key to zero the scale.
