7.3.3 Pin Assignments
The DC-530 counting scale is connected to a PC using a 9 pin D-SUB connector configured as follows:
7.3.4 Data Formats
General Data Format
All data values are in ASCII format.
ID Code
The ID Code data string is 12 digits.
Set Points
Item Set Points are transmitted when an Item Code is recalled from memory. When no Item Code has been
recalled from memory, General Set Point data is transmitted. The type of setpoint is determined by the header
code of Setpoint 1. When the output is set to include Header Codes, an “F” header indicates a weight setpoint
while a “G” header indicates a quantity setpoint. When the output is set to include Titles instead of Header
Codes, a “Q” title will indicate a quantity setpoint and a “W” title will indicate a weight setpoint. Setpoint data
can consist of either 7 digits or 6 digits plus a decimal point.
Weight Variables
Gross Weight, Unit Weight, Tare Weight, and Net Weight data can be either 7 digits or 6 digits plus a decimal
point.
Quantity Variables
Total Quantity and Quantity data can consist of up to 6 digits, with a range between -99999 and 999999.
