6.8 Changing the hook-thread bobbin

Caution: danger of injury !

Tur n off the main switch.

The hook-thread bobbin may only be changed with the machine

switched off.

Removing the empty bobbin

Raise the sewing foot.

Pull the hook cover 1 upwards and open it.

–

Lift the flap 5 and remove the empty bobbin 2.

Inserting a full bobbin

–

Insert the full bobbin 2 so that it moves in the opposite direction

of the hook when unwinding.

Conduct the hook thread through the slot 3 and underneath the

spring 4.

–

Pull the hook thread through the slot 7 and continue pulling until it

stands out about 4.5 cm.

–

Close the flap 5 and pull the hook thread through the thread

guide 6 of the flap.
