DURO-LAST® STRIP MASTIC
Description:
Strip Mastic is a high performance, permanent, elastic
butyl tape for use with the Duro-Last® roofing system.
Strip Mastic is excellent in areas subjected to stress
and vibrations as well as expansion and contraction.
Strip Mastic is especially effective in roofing
applications as a sealant against moisture
penetrations around flashings.
Strip Mastic is excellent in areas requiring superior
tensile strength and extensibility (webbing/elongation),
in all climates, which is most important with today's
high tech single-ply materials. Strip Mastic is
formulated for adhesions to all types of building
materials. Its superior tack affords tenacious
adhesion to aluminized steel, galvanized metal,
masonry, and wood to ensure a weather tight seal.
Strip Mastic is odorless, easy to use, and has high
impact resistance.

Installation:
1. To install, apply constant, even pressure on the
Strip Mastic.
2. Strip Mastic may be used in all applications in
which ultraviolet radiation exposure is not probable
or possible.
3. A typical application is to use strip mastic between
the membrane and wall before the installation of
termination bar (see detail 6020).
Notes:
• Strip Mastic is available, with a paper backing, on
3/4 inch (19 mm) x 35 ft. (10.5 m) rolls, and
packaged in cases of 10 rolls each.
• Strip Mastic must be installed according to
current Duro-Last specifications.
