Demonstrating a Street Lighting Schedule
This section demonstrates how you can control a street lighting network using a
single Event Scheduler that includes one daily schedule and one exception
schedule for weekdays, and one exception group that includes exception
schedules for weekends and holidays. The following briefly describes how the
street lighting network is controlled on weekdays and weekends/holidays.
• Weekdays. One daily schedule and one exception schedule are used to
control the street lighting network on weekdays. The daily schedule
turns on the lights at the start of the evening rush hour, dims them at
the end of the evening rush hour, brightens them at the beginning of the
morning rush hour, and dims them at the end of the morning rush hour.
The exception schedule turns the lights off at sunrise and unlocks the
lights at sundown, which enables the daily schedule to turn the lights on.
