Installation Installing the Refrigerated Drawers Your Electrolux Refrigerated Drawer unit has been designed for either free-standing or built-in installation. When built-in, your Refrigerated Drawers does not require additional air space for top, sides or rear. In either case, the front grille must NOT be obstructed. NOTE To ease unit installation and removal, it is recommended that the cabinet rough opening dimensions be increased by at least ¼ inch over the dimensions given for your unit.
Installation Site Preparation 1 2 3 4 Position the unit on a flat, level surface capable of supporting the entire weight of the unit. Remember the unit will be significantly heavier once it is fully loaded. This unit requires a grounded and polarized 115 VAC, 60Hz, 15A circuit (normal household current). Avoid connecting the unit to a Ground Fault Interrupter (GFI). GFIs are prone to nuisance tripping which will cause the unit to shut down.
Installation CAUTION Any finished flooring should be protected with appropriate material to avoid damage when moving the unit. Floor Mount Installation The anti-tip bracket is to be located on the floor in the left or right rear corner of the Refrigerated Drawers as shown in Figure 6. Operation 11 Alarms The control will alert you to conditions that could adversely affect the performance of the appliance. Door Ajar on-off alarm reset Door ajar - If the drawer is open, or not closed properly, for more than five minutes the System Status OK indicator will turn-off, the "Door Ajar" indicator will flash, and a tone will sound every 60 seconds. Additionally, an "ALARM RESET" indicator will be displayed below the "On/ Off" keypad.
Operation Air Filter on-off alarm reset Air Filter - The control will notify you as to when it is time to replace the air filter (every six months). The System Status indicator will turn off and the "Air Filter" indicator will flash. Additionally an "ALARM RESET" indicator will be displayed below the "ON/OFF" keypad. No audible tone will sound. The air filter condition can be reset by momentarily pressing the "ON/OFF" keypad and the alarm will then display after another six months.
Removing the Drawer 13 WARNING ELECTROCUTION HAZARD • Never attempt to repair or perform maintenance on the appliance until the main electrical power has been disconnected. Turning the appliance control “OFF” does not remove electrical power from the units wiring. • Replace all parts and panels before operating. There are three positions for the divider. UP- Use to create a partition between the front and rear of the drawer. FLAT- Use to extend the rear of the drawer bottom. DOWN- Use to combine the front and rear areas of the drawer.
Maintenance 15 Maintaining Your Refrigerated Drawers Periodic cleaning and proper maintenance will ensure efficiency, top performance, and long life. The maintenance intervals listed are based on normal conditions. You may want to shorten the intervals if you have pets or other special considerations. Troubleshooting 17 Before You Call for Service If Service is Required If the unit appears to be malfunctioning, read through this manual first. If the problem persists, check the Troubleshooting Guide below. Locate the problem in the guide and refer to the cause and its remedy before calling for service. The problem may be something very simple that can be solved without a service call. Consulting or contracting a qualified service technician may be necessary.
