Safety instructions Your new freezer may have other functions compared to your previous one. Carefully read these instructions to learn how the appliance works and how to care for it. Keep the instruction booklet. It will come in handy if you later sell the cabinet or give it to somebody else. These warnings are provided in the interests of your safety. Ensure that you understand them all before installing or using the appliance. Your safety is of paramount importance.
USE BEFORE USE Position and clean the cabinet as explained in the section "Installation". Before inserting the power plug into the outlet and switching on the cabinet for the first time, leave it standing upright for about 4 hours. Otherwise the compressor may sustain damage. This time will allow the oil sufficient time to return to the compressor.
DISPLAY Flashes when ice machine switched on and off.
Select /Switch off /Switch on Temperature regulation The temperature may be regulated by pressing the key (B) to set the desired temperature. By pressing the key B the current temperature setting flashes on the indicator and by pressing the key B again it is possible to change it. You confirm the choice of the temperature either by pressing the key E, (you will hear the buzzer) or by waiting for some seconds (you will not hear the buzzer). Then the indicator shows again the inside compartment temperature.
It is possible to de-activate the function at any time by changing the selected temperature in one of the compartment. Freezing fresh food The freezer compartment is suitable for long term storage of commercially frozen and deep-frozen food, and for freezing fresh food. The maximum quantity of foods to freeze in 24 hours is shown on the serial number plate.
The temperature may be regulated between -15°C and -24°C. We suggest setting the internal temperature of approximately -18°C, which guarantees proper freezing and conservation of the frozen foods. Attention! During the stability period by the first starting the temperature displayed can not correspond to the setting temperature. During this time it is possible that the temperature displayed is different than the setting temperature.
Door open acoustic alarm An acoustic alarm will sound when the door is left open for around 1,5 minutes. The door open alarm conditions are indicated by: - flashing of the icon ; - sounding of buzzer. Press the key (E) to stop the acoustic alarm. When normal conditions are restored (door closed): - the acoustic alarm will stop. Control Panel (ice dispenser) F G K F. Yellow indicator lamp Lights up when the locking function has been activated. G. Button for locking function.
For temporary unlocking: Keep the button (G) or (H) pressed in for about three seconds until the yellow indicator lamp (H) goes out. The locking function is re-activated automatically after about three seconds. For permanent unlocking: Keep the buttons (G) and (H) pressed in at the same time for about three seconds. The button (G) or (H) lights up to indicate unlocking. To activate the locking function: Keep the buttons (G) and (H) pressed in at the same time for about three seconds.
Shelf for ice machine. Cannot be removed. Ice container. Can be removed. Lift the front edge and then pull out. When the ice container is pulled out, this stops all the functions of the ice machine. When re-fitting (if necessary), the ice container feed screw should be positioned against the rear flange. HINT and TIPS Saving energy · Pay careful attention to where the cabinet is placed. See the section "Installation". When installed correctly, the cabinet will consume less energy.
Protect the environment · Hand over the cabinet packaging and discarded fridges and freezers to a recycling station. Contact your local council or Environmental Health office for more information. · Keep foodstuff in re-usable containers. Cut down on disposable material as much as possible. · When cleaning the cabinet, use a mild washing-up detergent. · Follow the advice in the section "Saving energy" · The door gasket and coolant used in this cabinet will not harm the ozone layer.
Servicing and cleaning the ice dispenser When necessary, clean the surfaces of the dispenser and the ice container that are accessible from the outside, using only a soft cloth and warm water. Never use cleaning agents with a grinding or aggressive effect. When necessary, the feeder and the ice container can be cleaned after removal of the surfaces accessible from the outside, using only a soft cloth and warm water. Ensure that the ice container is thoroughly dry before being re-fitted.
Audible alarm + flashing red warning lamp. (It is too warm inside the freezer.) Switch off the audible alarm by pressing the alarm off button. The audible alarm could have been triggered by: The cabinet having been recently switched on and the temperature still being too high. See the chapter "Switching on and setting the temperature". The door may have been open for so long that the `door open' alarm was triggered. It is too warm inside the freezer. Set a lower temperature.
No ice The ice machine is not switched on. Start the ice machine. See the section "Switching the ice machine on and off". No water supply. Carry out the necessary measures on the water supply. The ice dispenser lamp flashes Leakage in the connection box. Drain the water from the box and tighten the hose nut. Storage temperature too high. Lower the temperature in the refrigerator. The ice dispenser lamp flashes and no ice comes out. No water supply. Carry out the necessary measures on the water supply.
A regular rattling noise. The ice being stirred to prevent it from freezing together. No measure necessary, this sound is normal. As an alternative, activate the night setting. Power failure Do not unnecessarily open the cabinet, except when the power cut seems to be long, in which case the food products should be moved to another cabinet that works. If the frozen products are still hard following the power cut, they may be immediately refrozen.
Connecting the water hose. Do not connect the refrigerator in spaces where ambient temperature can decrease to below freezing. The refrigerator may only be connected to drinking water supplies. The refrigerator may only be connected to cold water supplies. INSTALLATION Unpacking Unpack the cabinet and check that it is in good condition and free of any transport damage. Notify the dealer immediately of any damage. Hand the packaging over for recycling.
We recommend that the refrigerator is placed on a "run-off" mat intended for refrigerators and freezers, which makes it easier to detect possible leakage. When the water system is started for the first time. The following should be carried out when the refrigerator is correctly connected to the water supply in the building: Open the tap on the water connection and start up the refrigerator. The ice machine starts automatically.
· there is good air circulation around the cabinet and that the air channels below and behind the cabinet are not blocked. The ventilation space above the cabinet must be at least 4 cm. The ventilation space can either be a) directly above the cabinet, or b) behind and above the top cupboard. In this case, the space behind the cupboard must be at least 50 mm deep. b) a) 50mm mm to allow the door to open enough so that the baskets can be removed.
symbol yellow. or coloured greeen and Connnect the blue (neutral) wire to the terminal in the plug which is marked with the letter "N" or coloured black Connect the brown (live) wire to the terminal in the plug which is marked with the letter "L" or coloured red. The plug moulded onto the lead incorporates a fuse. For replacement, use a 13amp BSI362 fuse. Onely ASTAor BSI approved fuses should be used. The plug must not be used if the fuse cover/carrier is lost.
