Contact with dust will irritate the eyes and the respiratory tract. Avoid strong oxidizing agents.
POTENTIAL HEALTH EFFECTS:
ROUTES OF ENTRY: Eye contact and inhalation.
TARGET ORGANS: Eyes and respiratory system.
INHALATION: Overexposure to the dust from briquet breakage may cause transitory upper
respiratory irritation.
SKIN CONTACT: Is not a route of entry unless through open cuts and abrasions.
EYE CONTACT: Dust from the briquet breakage may cause irritation to the eyes.
INGESTION: Not likely, charcoal is used as a poison absorbent, thus no lasting harmful effects if
swallowed.
MEDICAL CONDITIONS AGGRAVATED BY EXPOSURE: May cause upper respiratory irritation
