EDM-40: Digital Video Motion Detector
The EDM-40 is a digital video sensor for simultaneous surveil-
lance by four cameras. The activity zones are easily set on the
PC screen by using the bundled software. Four sensor zones
can be set per camera with a freely congurable 6480 elds for
each camera. Up to four time zones can be dened for each
camera, and they can be set in a 15-minute grid to give maxi-
mum precision.
The EDM-40 scans every sensor eld up to eight times per
second. Various lter functions eliminate weather-related false
alarms. Sabotage detection furthermore reliably identies video
signal failures, analyses changes in the signal level and contrast
in the activity areas, and triggers an alarm as required.
Of course, the EDM-40 also has useful features such as freely
positionable text display, date and time display as well as an
integral real-time clock.
