TheDCpowersupplypositiveandnegativeboltpatternsmatchuptoa1/4‐inchdiameter,
2‐holecompressionlugspaced5/8‐inchoncenter.Thiscompressionlugmustterminateto
areceptaclereadytocrimpto6AWG.Enterasys Networksprovidestwolugsmatching
theserequirementswiththeDCpowersupply.
Ifyouwishtobuyyourownlugs,twopossiblevendorsandpartnumbersforthisspecific
compressionlugare:

•FCIpartnumberYA6CL2TC14
Thewireandlugconnectionmustbeassembledandcrimpedperthemanufacturer’s
instructions.Aspecialcrimpingtoolmayberequired.

ThepowerspecificationsforEnterasysMatrix™XRoutermodules,showninTable 2‐3,
andtheredundancyconfigurationtable,showninTable 2‐4,areusefulguidesforpower
budgetplanning.Toestimateapowerbudget,simplytotalthewatt ageofeachinstalled
module,makingsurethecombinedwattageconsumedisno
greaterthan100%ofthe
outputofthepowersupply(ies).
Forexample,ifyouinstalloneCMandFM,threefantrays,andsixIOMs(X‐G32‐00)at
1500Watts/48VDC,yourtotalpowerrequiredis1735watts.Youwouldberequiredto
installaminimumoftwopowersupplies
tosupportthisconfigurationorthreepower
suppliesforN+1redundancy.
