5.9.1 Setting the Threshold
To set the Threshold, proceed as follows:
1. Use the arrow keys to highlight the Threshold field for the selected port.
2. Type in the numbers for the desired limit. Only enter values in increments of ten (for example;
10, 20, 30, etc.).
3. Use the arrow keys to highlight the SAVE command at the bottom of the screen.
4. Press ENTER. The message “SAVED OK” displays.
5.9.2 Setting the Reset Peak
To set the Reset Peak field to YES or NO, proceed as follows:
1. Use the arrow keys to highlight the Reset Peak field for the selected port.
2. Press the SPACE bar to select YES or NO.
3. Use the arrow keys to highlight the SAVE command at the bottom of the screen.
4. Press ENTER. The message “SAVED OK” displays and the Time Since Peak field is also reset.
Peak Rate
(Read-Only)
See the highest number of broadcast frames received in a one-second
interval.
Time Since Peak
(Read-Only)
See the time since peak rate was achieved.
Threshold
(Modifiable)
Set the desired limit of receive broadcast frames that will be forwarded
per port per second. For details on how to set the threshold, refer to
Section 5.9.1.
Reset Peak
(Toggle)
Reset the Peak Rate. Resetting the Peak Rate also resets the Time Since
Peak field. The Reset Peak field toggles between YES and NO. For
details, refer to Section 5.9.2.
