Operator's Manual ESKIMO® Power Ice Auger IMPORTANT SAFETY PRECAUTIONS: • • • • • The ice blades are very sharp. Use extreme caution when drilling a hole or replacing the blades. Put blade guard on after each use. Do not carry the unit between holes with the engine running. The auger should not rotate when the engine is idling. If it does rotate when engine is idling, contact an Eskimoauthorized service center for instructions.
Operator's Manual ESKIMO® Power Ice Auger • Always run the engine with the exhaust and muffler pointed in the direction away from the operator. • Never point the exhaust muffler towards anyone. People should always be many feet away from the operation of the engine and its attachments. • Do not change the engine governor settings or over-speed the engine. • Stay away from rotating parts. Place protective covers over rotating parts.
Operator's Manual ESKIMO® Power Ice Auger SERVICE • PREPARING ENGINE FOR STARTING Always stop the engine whenever you leave the equipment, before cleaning, repairing or inspecting the unit. Engine should be turned off and cool, spark plug wire must be removed from spark plug before any repairs or adjustments are attempted. Never make adjustments or repairs with the engine (motor) running. Disconnect the spark plug wire, and keep the wire away from the plug to prevent accidental starting.
Operator's Manual ESKIMO® Power Ice Auger 6. Do not fill tank completely full, allow for fuel to expand. Warm Starting Instructions: 7. Screw the fuel cap back on until tight. Wipe away any spilled fuel, and allow the engine to dry off before attempting to start the engine. 1. Turn on/off switch to the “ON” position. OPERATION 1. Drill holes without placing downforce on the auger. Allow the weight of the auger to do the work itself. Using force will add unnecessary wear to the unit. 2.
Operator's Manual ESKIMO® Power Ice Auger MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE AUGER MAINTENANCE 1. The gear case has 4 ounces of lithium grease installed at the factory. It is recommended that once a year the gear case be split and the grease level checked. Add grease only if level of grease is below top of the gears. DO NOT OVERFILL. 2. Keep all screws, nuts, and bolts tight. 3. For cold weather operation, store the unit in a cool environment.
Operator's Manual ESKIMO® Power Ice Auger Check Air Filter • • • It is recommended that the air filter be checked before each use. The air filter element should be clean and free from particles or debris for proper engine performance and to protect the engine from damage. If the filter is dirty, cleaning will be needed, and if necessary the filter will need to be replaced. Clean Air Filter 1. Wash air filter in warm water with a mild detergent until dirt and debris is removed.
Operator's Manual ESKIMO® Power Ice Auger TRANSPORTING YOUR ICE AUGER 1. Never transport engine inside an enclosed space or vehicle. Fuel or fuel vapors may ignite causing serious injury or death. 2. If fuel is present in the fuel tank, transport in an open vehicle in an upright position with the gas cap facing upwards. 3. If an enclosed vehicle must be used, remove gas into an approved red fuel container. DO NOT siphon by mouth. 4. Run engine to use up the fuel in the carburetor and fuel tank.

If there is insufficient evidence of the purchase date, the effective date of this warranty will begin on the augers date of manufacture.

Soyez extrêmement prudent lorsque vous percez un trou ou que vous remplacez les lames. Remettez le protège lames après chaque utilisation. • Ne transportez pas la tête motorisée de la tarière entre chaque trou avec le moteur en marche. • La tarière ne devrait pas tourner lorsque le moteur tourne au ralenti.

Placer des couverts protectifs sur les pièces tournantes. • N’utiliser pas le moteur autour des broussailles, des chiffons, ou autres matériaux inflammables.Garder toujours les matériaux et débris éloignés du protège silencieux et autres pièces chaudes du moteur.
Manuel de l’opérateur Tarière à glace à moteur ESKIMO® SERVICE • IMPORTANT Éteignez le moteur lorsque vous quittez l’appareil, et avant de nettoyer, réparer ou inspecter l’appareil. Le moteur doit être éteint et refroidi et le câble pour bougie doit être enlevé de la bougie avant de tenter toutes réparations ou réglages. N’essayez jamais de faire des réglages ou des réparations quand le moteur fonctionne.

Toujours faire le plein du réservoir avec le moteur à l’arrêt et complètement refroidi jusqu’à la température ambiante. 3. Appuyer sur la poire d’amorçage jusqu’à ce que le carburant entre dans la conduite d’amorçage, en laissant la poire revenir complètement à chaque fois. 2. Toujours faire le plein du réservoir à l’extérieur, dans un endroit bien aéré, à l’écart de flammes et d’étincelles. 4.

Vérifier que le levier du volet de départ est en position RUN (marche). 3. Tirer lentement sur le lanceur jusqu’à sentir une résistance puis tirer vivement le lanceur 2 à 3 fois à fond en le laissant s’enrouler lentement à chaque fois. NE PAS laisser le lanceur se rétracter de lui-même, car il peut se rembobiner brutalement et provoquer des blessures.

Avant chaque utilisation, toujours vérifier que tous les boulons et vis sont bien serrés. Un mauvais serrage peut provoquer la perte de la tarière à travers la glace, des brûlures et une baisse de rendement du moteur. Contrôler la bougie d’allumage Contrôler les couteaux et la pointe 1.
