Store the appliance in a dry, safe place
Use only clean water. Using filtered, mineral or distilled water will prolong the appliance’s life.
Tap water can also be used
Never put detergent, chemicals, salt, perfume, dye or any other liquid except water into the water
reservoir. Many of these substances are highly flammable and may cause bodily harm, while
certain additives can corrode and clog the appliance’s components.
Removing mineral deposits:
A common problem with steam irons is the accumulation of mineral deposits in the tubes, normally
when tap water is used to fill the iron. To reduce or remove these mineral deposits, use filtered,
mineral or distilled water. The following steps, if taken at least once a month, can be reduce the level
of mineral or distilled water cannot be used:
Ensure the appliance is unplugged from the mains and that the appliance is cool
Make a solution that is 50% vinegar and 50% water. 60g is enough.
Remove the water-reservoir cap and gradually pour in the solution
Allow it to work for 40 minutes, adding more solution when the water reservoir becomes empty
Pour the solution remaining in the water reservoir into the sink or other container
Fill the water reservoir with water and then empty it again. Repeat until the vinegar smell has
gone
