Adjustwheneveranewbladebrakecableassembly
isinstalledorifthebladecontrollockleverdoesnot
operateproperly.
1.Stoptheengineandwaitforallmovingpartsto
stop.
2.Disconnectthewirefromthesparkplug.
3.Removethebeltcoverbypullingupwardonthe
backofthecovertounsnapthefrontandback
covertabs(seeFigure32).Removeanydebris
underthecover.
4.Loosenthecableclampscrewuntilthecable
conduitslides(seeFigure34).

6.Tightenthescrewtolocktheadjustmentinplace.
7.Reinstallthebeltcoverbypushingdownonthe

8.Connectthewiretothesparkplug.
9.Checktheoperationofthebladecontrollock
lever(seeFigure13).Thelevermustresetitself
tolockoutthebladecontrolbail.Ifitdoesnot,
repeatsteps4through8.
10.Performthe“CheckingtheBladeBrakeClutch
