Operation
Theignitionswitchisusedtostartandstopthe
engine.Theswitchhasthreepositions“OFF”,“ON”
and“START”.Insertkeyintoswitchandrotate
clockwisetothe“ON”position.Rotateclockwiseto
thenextpositiontoengagethestarter(keymustbe
heldagainstspringpressureinthisposition).Allow
thekeytoreturntothe“on”positionimmediately
aftertheenginestarts.

Thefuelshut-offvalveisusedtoshutoffthefuel
whenthemachinewillnotbeusedforafewdays,
duringtransporttoandfromthejobsite,andwhen
parkedinsideabuilding.
Alignvalvehandlewiththefuellinetoopen.Rotate
90°toclose.
DriveWheelReleaseValves
WARNING
Handsmaybecomeentangledintherotating
drivecomponentsbelowtheenginedeck,
whichcouldresultinseriousinjuryordeath.
Stopengine,removekey,allowallthemoving
partstostopbeforeaccessingthedrivewheel
releasevalves.
WARNING
Theengineandhydraulicdriveunitscan
becomeveryhot.Touchingahotengineor
hydraulicdriveunitscancausesevereburns.
Allowtheengineandhydraulicdriveunitsto
coolcompletelybeforeaccessingthedrive
wheelreleasevalves.
Locatedoneithersideoftheenginedeck.
Duringnormaloperatingconditions,thedrivewheel
releasevalvesarepositionedhorizontally.Ifthe
machinehastobepushedbyhand,thevalvesmust
beinthe“released”position(seeFigure9).
