Glossary

The Device Details pane can be divided into these panes:

Pane Description

Toolbar The Toolbar contains a number of tools that enable you to perform

several tasks on the data being displayed in the pane.

The Toolbar displays a drop-down list that displays the hierarchy of

the AirDefense system. Use this list to select the scope of the data

to be displayed in this screen. Some of the other features are Device

Type tabs that you can use to view speciﬁc device types, a search

box that you can use to search for speciﬁc devices, and a toggle

button to show or hide the charts displayed below this toolbar.

Grid Chart View The Grid Chart View is a panel that displays the statistics for the

selected device type. This data is displayed in widgets. The content

of this panel is dierent for the dierent device types identiﬁed by

AirDefense. For more information, see the topic Device Type Details

on page 62

Device List The Device List is a table that displays a list of individual devices

classiﬁed by device types. The content of this table is dierent for

the dierent device type identiﬁed by AirDefense.

Device Details - Toolbar

The Toolbar of the Device Details pane contains a set of tools that you can use to manage the devices

in your network.

The following table lists the tools available for your use:

Tool Description

Use this icon to go back to the previous screen.

Use this box to select the scope of the data to display in this pane.

Select this pane to display a drop-down list and select the

appropriate scope from this list. This drop-down list displays the

AirDefense site hierarchy.

Select each tab in this toolbar to view details about devices of the

selected device type. For more information, see Device Type Details

on page 62.

Use the Search control to search for a speciﬁc device in the Device

List. Hover on the ﬁeld to view a list of ﬁelds that you can search on.

Select this icon to view or hide the Grid Chart view in this pane.
