Connect IR Emitters (one per each VCR, DVD player, or other device
being controlled) to the MLC (see pages 2-5 and 2-6), and affix each
emitter
head near

Connect the projector’s RS-232 port to the MLC 206. Refer to the
MediaLink Controllers User’s Manual.
Step 8
Connect a MediaLink Switcher (MLS) to the MLC and to the projector,
if applicable. Refer to the MediaLink Controllers User’s Manual.
Step 9
Restore power to the MLC and other equipment.
Step 10
Set up the MLC.
A. Associate the IRCM-DV+ with MLC
inputs. In the Controller (MLC) Config. part
of the MediaLink Control Software, assign
the DVD half of the IRCM-DV+ to an MLC
input button, then assign the VCR half to
another input button, as shown in the
picture at right.
B. Perform IR learning (the
process by which the MLC
stores commands from an
infrared remote control) for
each IRCM button for each
device (VCR and DVD).
Refer to the MediaLink
Controllers User’s Manual.
The setup/configuration requires an RS-232 connection to the
MLC’s Config port, and setup should be done before the MLC
is installed into the wall or furniture.
Step 11
Test the system. See “Testing/Troubleshooting” on pages 2-10 to 2-11.
Step 12
Mount the MLC and the control module(s) into the wall/furniture.
