Energy Efficient Use of Ceiling Fans Ceiling fan performance and energy savings rely heavily on the proper installation and use of the ceiling fan. Here are a few tips to ensure efficient product performance. Choosing the Appropriate Mounting Location Ceiling fans should be installed, or mounted, in the middle of the room and at least 7 feet above the floor and 18 inches from the walls. If ceiling height allows, install the fan 8 - 9 feet above the floor for optimal airflow.
Electrical and Structural Requirements (Continued) Deep box with brace (Figure 3) Paired with a deep box, this hanger is meant to span between two joists and takes the place of wooden blocking. How to Assemble Your Ceiling Fan 1. Cut off excess lead wire approximately 6 to 9 inches above top of the downrod. Strip insulation off 1/2 inch from the end of each lead wire. (Figure 1) NOTE: All set screws must be checked, and retightened where necessary, before installation. How to Wire Your Ceiling Fan 1. Connect the green grounding lead from the ceiling bracket to the supply grounding, from motor and from wall control conductor (this may be a bare wire or wire with green colored insulation). Securely connect wires with a wire connector. Securely connect the white wire (coming from motor) to the white supply (neutral) wire using a wire connector. Securely connect the black wire (coming from motor) to the black wire from wall control using a wire connector.
How to Assemble Your Ceiling Fan Blades INSTALLATION NOTE Do not connect fan blades until the fan is completely installed. Installing the fan with blades assembled may result in damage to the fan blades. ▲WARNING To reduce the risk of personal injury, do not bend the blades when installing, balancing or cleaning the fan. How to Assemble Your Light Kit (continued) 4. (Option A--for use with light kit) Connect the 2 pin connectors from the LED assembly to the 2 pin connectors from motor assembly. Assemble the LED assembly to the light kit using the two key slots and replace the third screw and securely tighten all three screws.
How to Operate Your Ceiling Fan 1. Restore electrical power to the outlet box by turning the electricity on at the main fuse box. (Figure 1) WARNING MAIN FUSE BOX Check to see that all connections are tight, including ground, and that no bare wire is visible at the wire connectors, except for the ground wire. Do not operate fan until the blades are in place. Noise and fan damage could result. Figure 1 2.

Cómo ensamblar el ventilador de techo 15, 2 22, 4 cm a 86 cm 1. Corte el exceso de cable aproximadamente de 15 a 23 cm (6 a 9 pulgadas) por encima de la parte en cada extremo del cable. Cómo realizar la instalación eléctrica del ventilador de techo 1. Conecte el cable verde de toma de tierra de la unidad del techo a la toma de tierra de la fuente de alimentación, del motor y del conductor de control en la pared (este puede ser un cable desnudo o con aislamiento de color verde). Conecte con seguridad los cables con un conector de cable. Conecte con seguridad el cable blanco (que viene del motor) al cable blanco de la fuente de alimentación (neutro) usando un conector de cable.
Cómo ensamblar las aspas del ventilador de techo NOTA DE INSTALACIÓN No conecte las aspas hasta que el ventilador esté totalmente instalado. Instalar el ventilador con las aspas colocadas podría ocasionar daños en las mismas. ▲ADVERTENCIA Tornillos de 3/16˝-24 y arandela de plana (3 por de aspas) Para reducir el riesgo de lesiones personales, no doble los soportes de aspas al instalarlos, balancear las aspas o limpiar el ventilador.
Cómo ensamblar las kit de luz (cont.) 4. (Opción A – Para su uso con el kit de iluminación) Instale el conector de 2 clavijas desde unidad de luz LED conexión a la unidad del motor. (Figura 4) Unidad del motor PRECAUCIÓN A fin de reducir el riesgo descargas eléctricas, desconecte el circuito de suministro eléctrico al ventilador antes de instalar el kit de iluminación. 5. Instale la unidad LED en la ernsamble de la placa de iluminación mediante los dos chaveteros.
