Energy Efficient Use of Ceiling Fans Ceiling fan performance and energy savings rely heavily on the proper installation and use of the ceiling fan. Here are a few tips to ensure efficient product performance. Choosing the Appropriate Mounting Location Ceiling fans should be installed, or mounted, in the middle of the room and at least 7 feet from floor to the blade and 18 inches from wall to the blade. If ceiling height allows, install the fan 8 - 9 feet from floor to the blade for optimal airflow.
Electrical and Structural Requirements (Continued) Deep box with brace (Figure 3) Paired with a deep box, this hanger is meant to span between two joists and takes the place of wooden blocking. CEILING JOIST WARNING To reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock, or personal injury, mount fan to outlet box marked acceptable for fan support of 15.88 kg (35 lbs) or less. Use screws supplied with outlet box.
How to Assemble Your Ceiling Fan 1. Remove the hanger ball portion from the downrod /hanger ball assembly by loosening the set screw in the hanger ball until the ball falls freely down the downrod. Route the black/white, blue, red, gray and yellow wires and safety cable through the hanger ball.
How to Hang Your Ceiling Fan WARNING To avoid possible electrical shock, be sure electricity is turned off at the main fuse box before hanging. (Figure 1) NOTE: If you are not sure if the outlet box is grounded, contact a licensed electrician for advice, as it must be grounded for safe operation. How to Wire Your Ceiling Fan NOTE: If fan or supply wires are different colors than indicated, have this unit installed by a qualified electrician. 1. To set the code on receiver unit, slide dip switches to the same positions as set on the remote. (Figure 1) Receiver Unit NOTE: The remote unit has 32 different code combinations. To prevent possible interference from or to other remote units, simply change the combination code in the remote and receiver.
How to Wire Your Ceiling Fan (continued) 5. If your receiver slid out of the bracket at all while wiring your fan, slide it all the way into the hanger bracket, taking care not to pinch the wires. How to Assemble Your Ceiling Fan Blades and Cap 1. Lay the side of the blade holder on a flat surface with the inside of the blade holder facing up. Assemble the blade to the blade holder with the carriage nuts, flat washer, and screws. Make sure that the blades are fully seated against the blade holders and tighten screws. How to Operate Your Ceiling Fan 1. IMPORTANT: Using a full range dimmer switch (not included) to control fan speed will damage the fan. To reduce the risk of fire or electrical shock, do not use a full range dimmer switch to control the fan speed. (Figure 1) 2. Restore electrical power to the outlet box by turning the electricity on at the main fuse box.
How to Operate Your Ceiling Fan (continued) 6. To set the remote code with a small screwdriver or ball point pen (neither included), slide dip switches firmly up or down to same as receiver unit. How to Operate Your Ceiling Fan (continued) 8. Remote functions: (Figure 6) • Indicator LED light: fan speed and light dimmer indicator • button: Tap once to turn off the fan. Press and hold this button for 5 seconds to turn on or turn off the buzzer. • Fan Speed: Turn on fan and turn speed up. Turn on fan and turn speed down. • Light button: Turn ON\OFF the light. Increase light output level. Decrease light output level. • Sleep Timer: The fan and light will turn off after 1 hour.
How to Set Up the fanSync App (optional) Visit the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store which can be found at www.fanimation.com/fansync, to download the freel fanSync app. IMPORTANT: Your smart device must have Bluetooth turned on to use fanSync. 1. How to Install Your Remote Control 1. Installing Wall Holder: (Figure 1) Attach wall plate using the two provided screws. Figure 1 Maintenance 1. Periodic cleaning of your new ceiling fan is the only maintenance that is needed. When cleaning, use only a soft brush or lint free cloth to avoid scratching the finish. Abrasive cleaning agents are not required and should be avoided to prevent damage to finish. CAUTION Do not use solvents when cleaning your ceiling fan.

Cómo ensamblar el ventilador de techo 1. Antes de realizar el ensamblaje, separe y guarde las bolsas de accesorios en el empaque. Afloje el tornillo de fijación de la semiesfera para lograr que ésta pueda desplazarse libremente por el barral. Retire el pasador del barral y luego extraiga la semiesfera. Pase los cables y cable de seguridad a través de la cubierta de unión del motor, la cubierta para el tornillo del capuchón y el capuchón con el lado abierto apuntando hacia arriba. Cómo colgar el ventilador de techo ADVERTENCIA Para evitar una posible descarga eléctrica, asegúrese de cortar la alimentación eléctrica de la caja de fusiblesprincipal antes de colgar el ventilador. (Figura 1) PRINCIPAL CAJA DE FUSIBLES NOTA: Si no está seguro de si la caja de salida tiene conexión a tierra, pida consejo a un electricista certificado, ya que debe tener conexión a tierra para un funcionamiento seguro.

Levante cuidadosamente el ventilador y coloque el ensamble de la bola para colgar/varilla en la abrazadera para colgar que acaba de fijar a la caja de salida. Asegúrese de que la ranura de la bola esté alineada con la lengüeta de la abrazadera para colgar. (Figura 4) 5. Fije el cable de seguridad al cable de soporte para techo. Deslice la abrazadera de cables por el cable de seguridad (del ventilador).
Cómo realizar la instalación eléctrica del ventilador de techo NOTA: Si los cables de suministro o del ventilador son de colores diferentes que los indicados, contrate a un electricista calificado para que realice la instalación. 1. Para configurar el código de unidad del receptor. Deslice los interruptores de código a las mismas posiciones que en el transmisor. (Figura 1) NOTA: Los ajustes de fábricas vienen con todos los interruptores hacia arriba. No utilice esta posición.

Una vez haya hecho las conexiones, coloque los cables hacia arriba y empújelos cuidadosamente hacia dentro de la caja de la toma de corriente, poniendo los cables blancos y verdes a un lado de la caja y los negros hacia el otro lado.
Instalación de la cubierta del capuchón NOTA: Este paso se debe realizar luego de completar la instalación eléctrica necesaria. 1. Retire uno de los dos tornillos de reborde de laabrazadera para colgar. Afloje el segundo tornillo de reborde sin retirarlo del todo. Ensamble la base girando el chavetero de la base sobre el tornillo de reborde de la abrazadera para colgar. Ajuste el tornillo de reborde. Ensamble por completo el segundo tornillo de reborde que antes había retirado y ajústelo.
Ensamblaje y montaje de las aspas del ventilador y la caja del interruptor(cont.) 2. Ajuste las aspas ensambladas y los soportes al del motor con los tornillos y las arandelas de seguridad suministrados. Asegúrese de que los tornillos que fijan los soportes de aspas al buje del motor estén bien ajustados y quesoportes de aspas estén correctamente colocados.
Cómo utilizar su ventilador de techo 1. El uso de un regulador de la intensidad completa (no incluido) para controlar la velocidad del ventilador dañará el dispositivo. Repite estos pasos para cada uno de los ventiladores que desea programar a un mando a distancia diferente.

Funciones del control remoto: (Figura 6) • Luz LED del indicador: Velocidad del ventilador e indicador atenuante de la iluminación • Botón: Toque este botón apaga el ventilador. Mantenga pulsado el botón durante 5 segundos para encender o apagalo el zumbador. • Velocidad del ventilado: Enciende el ventilador y aumenta la velocidad. Enciende el ventilador y disminuye la velocidad.
Configuración de la App fanSync (opcional) Visite el App Store de Apple o el Play Store de Google que puede encontrarse en www.fanimation.com/fansync, para descargarse la App gratuita de fanSync.
