Note
A temperature indicator for monitoring the storage and transport tempera-
tures can be found on the linear motor axis or in the packaging.
Please check the status of the temperature indicator immediately upon receiv-
ing the axis. Should the temperature indicator have changed colour depend-
ing on the model in question, then the linear motor axis has been stored or
transported at temperatures below 0°C. This can lead to damage to the axis.
In this case, please consult the Festo service department.
If the temperature indicator has not changed colour, then please remove it
prior to using the axis.
The ball in the temperature indicator is usually colourless.
After being activated, the ball changes colour to purple and
indicates a temperature of < 0°C for a duration of > 30 minutes.

Take into account the weight of the linear axis. A linear axis weighs between
5 kg and 60 kg according to the design.
Make sure storage times are brief and observe the following storage condi-
tions:
• Storage temperature: 0 … +60°C
• Air humidity: 20 … 80%, no condensation
• Storage location: clean, dry, shaded and free of corrosive media as well as
free of strong influences from magnetic fields (e.g. through pulse dis-
charges)
