6.3 Installing the effective load
Take into account the permitted forces and torques (see chapter "Technical
data"). The forces and torques represented in the graph result from your ap-
plication. These are dependent on the following forces:
• Forces due to weight (effective load/mass)
• Inertial forces (effective load/mass)
• Feed force
• Counteracting forces

The resulting forces and torques on the air cushion bearing depend on the dy-
namics (braking/acceleration).
Observe the following to prevent vibrations:
• Place the centre of gravity of the effective load if possible centrically to the
stator.
• Place the effective load such that the tilting torque from the force and lever
arm remains low.
• Fasten the effective load directly onto the slide.
