The E790/A790 (36” grill) has three cooking grids with 18 rods each, totaling 54. Each rod has .333” of
food-contact surface with its trapezoidal design. This creates a total food-contact surface of 17.98”
which is almost exactly half of the 36” cooking width. This results in more heat transferred to
your food, and provides for more even grilling. Fire Magic cooking grids have been determined by the
