Advanced Configuration
Each rule that sends a notification also has the option to send
an activity report to the same notification list every 6, 12, or
24 hours. The activity report indicates whether or not an
alarm was triggered during the specified time period. Note
that this can be selected on a rule by rule basis.
When the Alarm Action is set to Capture Image File, a
snapshot is stored when the alarm occurs. The image file can
be stored locally in temporary storage (the default), over the
camera network using FTP (file transfer protocol) or to a
network-attached storage device (NAS). Refer to File
Transfer, pg. 57 to configure settings for the FTP, NFS, or
Samba transfers.
The Snapshot Type should be set to All Non Radiometric (a
normal JPEG image). Radiometric (a special type of JPEG
with temperature data) is not available on the FC-Series ID
camera.
Alarm Rule Examples
The following examples show rules that control actions from alarms that are internal to the camera
(rather than coming from another source on the network). The first three lines and the fifth line of
these rules is always the same for the alarms coming from the FC-Series ID camera itself, and only
the source type changes (Video Analytics or GPIO Input).
